What happens if my student has issues with their roommate?

The Sawyer has on-site Community Assistants that are willing to meet with residents and discuss any issues they may have and find solutions.

How does my student get a repair done?

There are several options available: they can visit or call the front desk, or submit a work order online through their resident portal. Our in-house maintenance and housekeeping crew are ready to assist with anything that comes up.

Will they be able to focus on their academics?

The Sawyer offers 8 study rooms as well as two clubhouse areas when it’s time to relax and hang out with friends. We also have quiet hours, a mind-body fitness room, and a neighborhood fitness center when they need to de-stress.

How far is campus?

The University of Montana is just a mile away.

UDASH, the University of Montana bus system, now provides convenient all-day service to the Cregg/Wyoming Corridor in the Old Sawmill District and Sawyer Student Living, with buses running every 30 minutes! The Purple Line operates Monday through Friday from 7:15 AM to 7:15 PM, with a stop right outside the Sawyer.

Additionally, the Sawyer is located next to the well-lit Milwaukee Trail, which makes for an easy and safe walk or bike to campus.

What happens if my student's roommate is late paying rent or doesn’t pay rent one month?

That would never impact your son or daughter.  With individual leasing you’ll never have to worry about roommates.  Your student will never have to pay anyone else’s late fees.

What’s all included when you say “furnished” apartment?

Each bedroom has a private bathroom and comes furnished with a full-sized bed, 4 drawer under-bed dresser, a desk, and a chair. The common area has a sofa, chair, coffee table, wall-mounted tv, counter-height bar stools, and a stackable washer/dryer.

Where will my student park?

The Sawyer offers reserved parking in the underground parking garage, secure bike parking, as well as surface parking.
