How do you use tech to do better in class and stay organized? It’s 2018, which means everyone living in University of Montana apartments should be using apps, devices or AI to make the most of their time. There are hundreds of devices and apps out there that can help you be the best student you can be, and you might as well take advantage of the free ones while you’re in school!
In this week’s blog, we’ll be talking about some of the best apps to download if you want some help with staying up to date with your calendar, keeping up with your homework assignments, and taking notes in class. Instead of using your phone as a distraction from homework, imagine if you could use it to actually help you get more done in less time. Crazy, right?
Without further delay, let’s dive right into the list of top-rated apps for college students. When you get done with the blog post below, please feel free to share the link to this page with your friends and neighbors at The Sawyer — the new community of apartments University of Montana students can’t get enough of.
The first app on our list is one that your parents probably would have appreciated. The app lets you enter your class, the professor name, the time and the location. It then takes that info, organizes your class schedule, and shows you homework assignments for each class. The app can then be integrated with Google Calendar or iCal to keep your life on track. If you’re having trouble staying organized with a full class schedule, give this app a shot!
If you’re someone who can appreciate a bulleted notes list with subheads, dashes, and clearly-defined flow, you’ll appreciate the Workflowy app. This app is super simple, but it makes it easy for you to take bulleted notes, organize your brainstorm sessions and plan out your structure for an essay or research paper. Anyone who appreciates a well-organized set of notes can appreciate the Workflowy app.
Believe it or not, flashcards are still one of the most effective ways to study. Yes, the flashcards that your parents used to write on when they were trying to study back in the day. Flashcards still work, the only difference is that now they’re digital, shareable and, well, smart. If you want to know more about what we’re talking about, download the Brainscape app. You can even search by class name and see if other students have already made flashcards for your specific class. If they have, you can use them!
Those are all the mobile app recommendations we’ve got for you this week!
