brunching university of montana apartments

Welcome to another brand new blog from the most highly anticipated community of University of Montana apartments. In this week’s post, we’ll be talking about the most important meal of the week; brunch. Whether you’re someone who makes brunch plans each week with a different group of friends or you just routinely wake up on Sunday in need of a hearty meal, we think this list of restaurants will help you enjoy better brunches every week.

Missoula may not have the same variety of brunch restaurants as a city like New York of L.A, but what it lacks in quantity it makes up for in quality. The brunch restaurants in this town have knowledgeable chefs, friendly waiters and, above all else, outstanding meal options.

Without further delay, let’s dive right into the list below! When you’re done reading through it, we encourage you to share the link to this page with your friends and anyone else who might be interested in The Sawyer — the community of apartments University of Montana students can’t wait to move into.

Hob Nob on Higgins

If you order nothing else at Hob Nob on Higgins, order the corned beef hash. It’s one of those menu items that rarely appears at top-notch brunch spots, but when it does, you’ve got to give it a shot. Hob Nob on Higgins does corned beef hash the right way, which is also true of every other dish on the menu. The meat is slow cooked, super juicy, and covered in delicious herbs and spices. There’s nothing fancy about the meals at Hob Nob on Higgins, but the service is fast and friendly and the portions are huge. What more can you ask for out of a brunch spot?

Burns St. Bistro

We love Burns St. Bistro because of the ever-changing menu. In fact, the menu changes so often that we recommend checking the restaurant’s Facebook page for daily specials before you go. When you do sit down to order, however, remember that you can’t go wrong with any dish with bacon on it. This is a bit of a hipster hangout, and you know how hipsters love their bacon.

Burns St. Bistro has an imaginative menu and a lovely atmosphere. You can sit inside or, as we like to do, go out on the porch and enjoy the surrounding neighborhood. Either way, you’re bound to have an enjoyable experience.

Breakfast Club Missoula

The last spot on our list isn’t a sit-down brunch spot, but if you care more about food than the whole “brunch experience,” this is your spot. The restaurant specializes in breakfast burritos, biscuits and gravy, and one amazing dish called The Pile. It’s basically a mash-up of all the other dishes on the menu, and it will fill you right up.

We’re all out of brunch spots for this week, everyone! We appreciate you taking some time out of your day to hang out with us here on The Sawyer blog page, and we hope you learned a little something about the brunch scene in our lovely town.
