What’s your favorite restaurant in Missoula? Most people living in University of Montana apartments have a go-to spot that they visit for Sunday brunch, weeknight comfort food or late night snacks. If you don’t have a restaurant that falls into any of those categories, this blog is for you.

Below, we’ll be talking about some of the most popular eateries in Missoula. Whether you’re looking for an upscale eatery for date night or a low-key spot where you can grab an affordable meal, we think that the spots on the list below will have just what you’re looking for.

Let’s dive right into this week’s blog post, shall we? Oh, and when you’re done reading through the post below, please feel free to share the link to this page with your friends and anyone else who might want to learn more about The Sawyer — the apartments University of Montana students can’t wait to move into.

Five on Black

If you’re looking for a filling lunch at an affordable price point, look no further than Five on Black. The regular sized bowls provide you with more food than you’ll be able to finish, and they won’t cost you more than you’d pay for any other fast-casual spot on campus. Five on Black specializes in Brazilian bowls, which come with a protein, a base ingredient, a sauce, a side and a topping. For lots of food and lots of flavor, check out Five on Black.

Burns St. Bistro

We love Burns St. Bistro because of its ideal location in one of Missoula’s residential neighborhoods. If you want to check this place out, we highly recommend going for breakfast or brunch. Burns St. Bistro is known for having some of the best bacon in Missoula, but you can’t go wrong with any of their Tex-Mex dishes, either. This is a super hipster, super trendy restaurant that gets pretty packed on the weekends. Keep that in mind when planning your visit.

Scotty’s Table

The last spot on our list is one of the best date night spots in Missoula. Scotty’s Table has a gorgeous interior and a menu filled with dishes made from locally-sourced ingredients. The staff is happy to accommodate dietary restrictions, and they’ll even provide you with recommendations if you’re looking for gluten-free options. For some of the freshest food in Missoula, head to Scotty’s Table.
