Why The Sawyer?
The Sawyer is Missoula’s newest student housing project with comfortable apartments and plenty of welcoming common spaces. It is fully equipped for college students and short-term Missoula visitors.
How much will it cost to live at The Sawyer?
The Sawyer+RMSP rate is $2000 (all utilities included) for the entire 6-week Summer Intensive program. The Sawyer will waive all admin fees but will require a $825 security deposit. Payment in full is due at time of move-in.
Utilities included: internet, gas, electricity, water, sewer, trash, recycling.
Where is the building located?
The Sawyer is located downtown in the Old Sawmill District neighborhood which is about one mile from The Rocky Mountain School of Photography. It’s an easy 15-minute walk, 5-minute drive or bike ride and about a 15-minute bus ride to downtown and RMSP.
Is the building secure?
YES. Not only is the building secure with fob-entry, but we have staff on-site at the front desk during business hours and two Community Assistants that live in the buildings.
Is the unit furnished?
Rent includes all furniture and appliances.
For an additional $250 fee, The Sawyer will supply bedroom and bathroom bedding and linens.
Will I have roommates?
Yes, you will be renting one bedroom in a shared apartment. Each bedroom has its own private bathroom, so you share the living area and kitchen with your roommates.
How do I apply?

2. Be sure to tell them you are a part of the RMSP Summer Intensive program and they will get you the appropriate application.
3. Pay $55 application fee.
Where do I park?
There is plenty of free street parking as well as a parking lot across the street from The Sawyer.
A reserved parking space in the parking garage is an additional $50.
When can I move in?
The move-in date for Summer Intensive students is June 12th. The move-out date is July 24th.
